The Watershed Kenya partners held a Communication for Impact training between the 9th and 10th of May, 2018 in Machakos to address communication challenges in achieving the Watershed empowering citizens Programme goals. The training, facilitated by Wetlands International and KEWASNET, included interactive sessions where participants mapped their target audiences, revised the programme’s key messages to reflect the goals of the programme, and identified various channels that they can use to reach their audiences. The partners agreed to use twitter as one of the preferred tools to share information regarding the programme activities, events and impact in relation to WASH and WRM. Programme Lead, Patrick Mwanzia, praised the training as highly practical, effective, timely and educational and urged all the partners present to use the available and created platforms to ensure effective communication flow through the partners and to the target audiences.
